About
About Me
Hey, I’m Fergus Jackson, a 15-year-old photographer who’s passionate about capturing the beauty of landscapes and nature. Whether it’s a serene lake or the colours of a sunset, my camera accompanies me everywhere. Check out my portfolio for a glimpse into my journey of turning the everyday into something extraordinary.
Places
I am lucky enough to live next to a vast national park in Australia, with thousands of acres to explore. Whether its backcountry snow trips, forested valleys and canyon, or beaches and coastline, most of my adventures are within a few hours of my home. This allows me to notice the subtle changes throughout the year. I also have family in the England and relish exploring the windswept mountains and lakes of the north.
Gear
As a teenager I don’t have unlimited photography gear – just two cameras – an Olympus OM-D E-M10 MARK IV and a GoPro Hero 7 Black. When I was 11, I saved up for the GoPro with my pocket money and this allowed me to start experimenting with video and simple edits. When I turned 13, I was lucky enough to receive the OM-D for my birthday and have found it to be an amazing camera to learn on – showing that you don’t need a big investment to begin your photographic journey.
